Hello ! We are delighted by your interest in ENGIE Solutions. Indeed, we have a program called the Graduate Program, which will be recruiting its new members starting from June 2024. The eligibility criteria are as follows: a double degree (engineering school and business school/specialized master's) with a maximum of 1 year of professional experience and experience abroad. If your profile meets these criteria, you will be contacted by the Graduate Program team for an initial HR interview as soon as the recruitment campaign opens. Perhaps we'll see you soon !

Thank you very much for your response.

I have one last enquiry please, as I have already prepared my application:

At the point of application, does ENGIE generally prefer an EUROPASS standard CV/Resume or is any type of CV format fine?

Looking forward to this answer. Thank you.

    Hello,

When can I expect a response following my application for the work-study Geothermal Project Manager position (Ref. 26411)? In earnest, I just want to have an idea on the average timeline it takes for these decisions to be made.

    Thank you.

Hello too Steffi-Marianne, thank you for your long-awaited response.

The Position is located in La Defense and here is the direct link to the job role on the ENGIE website: https://www.engie.com/jobs/ingenierie-projets/alternance-chargee-de-mission-geothermie-fh. This 'Alternation - Geothermal Project Manager M/F' position with Requisition ID: 26411 was published in April and I applied in May (28th).

As regards a feedback, I haven't received any yet. The current status on my application portal reads “RESUME REVIEW”. This is the first time I have seen this status though. Prior to my checking today, the status has always been “IN PROGRESS”.

    Thank you!

    Hello Steffi-Marianne,

I still haven't heard from the position yet. The next 2 days will make it exactly 4 months (120 days) since I applied, and I haven't gotten a single update till this moment. I am very worried especially since the role's description stated that the position will start in September.
Or is there a possibility that Engie would not want to recruit someone and not tell them? Your response to me on April 19 said that Engie will start recruiting new members from June 2024. Now, over 3 months since this time, I have not received an update. My application is still “on review”, even though I had applied to two more positions after that and got refused on both. But why has the first application remained in limbo?
You asked for the position and its location, and I provided, yet no response.

Feedback on Recruitment Process & Inquiry for Future Opportunities

Dear Steffi-Marianne and the Talent Acquisition Team,

I hope this message/reply finds you well.

I am writing to acknowledge receipt (today) of your recent update regarding my application, for the role of Alternance - Géothermie Project Manager M/F (Ref. 26411). While I appreciate finally hearing back, I must express my disappointment regarding the process. The delay of over six months, coupled with the outcome citing the closure of the recruitment process, has been disheartening. As someone deeply invested in the field of geothermal energy and keen to contribute to ENGIE's outstanding work in this area, the prolonged uncertainty was challenging.

Nonetheless, I respect your decision and thank you for the opportunity to engage with your esteemed organization. Looking forward, I remain highly interested in the possibility of contributing to ENGIE’s Geothermal Energy Solutions. As part of my current Master's program at the University of Padua, I am required to complete a 3-6 month internship starting in the summer of 2025. It would be a privilege to explore potential internship opportunities within your geothermal department during this period.

Given ENGIE’s leadership in sustainable energy transitions, I am confident an internship under your guidance would greatly enrich my professional expertise and align with my aspiration to advance geothermal energy in West Africa. If possible, I would appreciate any recommendations or pointers towards openings where I could apply for this internship. Furthermore, I would like to remain updated on future recruitment cycles for roles like the Géothermie Project Manager, as I am eager to contribute meaningfully to such initiatives.

Thank you again for your time and for considering this request. I deeply value ENGIE's vision and commitment to innovation in the energy sector and would be delighted to discuss any potential opportunities further.

    Kind regards,
    Princewill Okechukwu

    Dear Princewill,

My turn to thank you for your message and for sharing your passion for geothermal energy and ENGIE’s initiatives in this field. We sincerely appreciate your patience and would like to apologize for the delay in processing your application. This experience does not reflect our usual standards, and we regret any frustration it may have caused.

Regarding internship opportunities, it is still early for openings summer 2025. However, you can visit the following page, which will be updated throughout the year with new internships : Trouvez votre prochain job | ENGIE Jobs. We encourage you to check it regularly.

Additionally, we have shared your profile with our team in the geothermal energy field to explore potential opportunities that align with your skills and aspirations. Please note that we cannot guarantee you will be contacted, as ENGIE Solutions primarily operates in French. This is why the link I shared is particularly valuable, as it provides access to all internship opportunities across ENGIE’s global network.

Your motivation and dedication to advancing geothermal energy, particularly in West Africa, are truly inspiring. We hope to collaborate with you in the near future.

Thank you again for your understanding and for your interest in ENGIE.

    Best regards,

    Steffi-Marianne

    Dear Steffi-Marianne,

    I trust you are well.

I am here again to decry another scenario where my application might be left unanswered for a long time, and then subsequently be updated with a "we regret to inform you that the recruitment process for this position has been closed" reply.

This time around, I applied for the 'Intern - Project Manager - Ref. 36622' role at Engie Energie Services. I am hoping to take advantage of this internship for my mandatory 3-6 months internship required for the completion of my current Master's studies here in Italy. I am currently in the second and final year of my studies.

But as my proposed April 2025 internship start date draws near, I have not recieved an update on my application yet, even if it is a refusal. I am really concerned because one of my last applications to ENGIE took over 6 months with no update, up until I called your attention to it and was ultimately told the recruitment process had passed, even though I appllied early enough. I honestly do not want this case to be like the last, because of time.

I would love to know the decision on my application so as I intensify my search for other opportunities if need be. I would love to point out that these lengthy timelines are not usually ideal, as it ruins confidence from applicants for such a great company.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Sincerely,

    Princewill Okechukwu.

    Dear Princewill,

Thank you for reaching out again. We truly appreciate your continued interest in joining us despite your previous experience.

Our recruitment teams are doing their best to process all applications as efficiently as possible. While delays can sometimes occur, it is not usual for an application to remain unanswered for an extended period, as you previously experienced. To better understand your situation, could you please confirm the date you submitted your application for the Project Manager position?

Applications are currently being processed. While I understand that waiting can be frustrating, I am unable to expedite the response, as every candidate would understandably request the same.

In the meantime, I encourage you to continue exploring other opportunities as well.

Thank you for your understanding, and we wish you all the best in your search.

    Steffi-Marianne

    Dear Steffi-Marianne,

    Thank you for your response.

I submitted my application for the Project Manager Internship position on December 4, 2024, which is about 72 days ago (from today).

My apologies if I am misunderstood; I am not asking for the process to be sped up. If I am told the application is still being considered, then I am encouraged already and I am happy to wait. I just do not want a situation whereby it might not be treated, and after a long time, it will be refused based on the position no longer available.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please, take all the time you need.

    Sincerely,

    Princewill Okechukwu.
